Simon holds both a civil law from Université de Montréal in French and a common law degree from Ottawa University in English. He has helped Canadian and foreign firms and individuals with their Legal matters regarding Federal Law and Provincial Legal issues alike since his admission to the Quebec Bar in Montreal, in 1999.
Simon always strives to provide high quality services in Civil and Commercial Law matters, leveraging both a network of co-counsel and experts where needed and, in accordance with the client’s preferences, either a more collaborative or a more executive working relationship with his clients to ensure either more accuracy, precision and control for the client or conversely more proportionate and timely Legal Services.
Simon has a mastery at deep diving in the client’s files (fact and law). He understands the legal intricacies in Civil, commercial, real estate, expropriation competition, and corporate law and specialty laws such as procedural specificities of recognition of foreign jugements, IP law (Copyright and Trademark Law), Family Law (divorce, separation agreements, child custody, international abduction), Gaming Law, Entertainment and E-Commerce Law.
In 2014 he added an LL.M in German and European Civil and Administrative Law, including European Competition Law at Freie Universität Berlin in Germany, thus polishing his deep ties with Europe and its Law, Languages and People.
Simon can represent you in court where required in the Province of Quebec. He works with out-of-province and out-of-country partners where required to promote the client’s objectives.
